Connect North York is a youth-led group that fosters resource sharing and community engagement in the North York community.
Event Terms and Conditions
By registering for and attending any event hosted by the group, presenting as “Connect North York” and referred to as the “Host”, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions:
Event Participation
By registering for events, you confirm that you are fully able to participate in all activities associated with the event. If you are under 18, you must have parental/guardian consent to attend.Registration and Payment
All participants must complete the registration process before attending the event. Event fees (if applicable) must be paid in full prior to the event date to secure your spot.Photography and Video Recording
You acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during the event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, and voice in any promotional materials or media related to the event, including social media posts, brochures, or websites, without further compensation.Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for their health and safety during the event. If you have any medical conditions or concerns that may affect your participation, you should notify the event organizers prior to the event. Connect North York reserves the right to ask participants to refrain from certain activities if necessary for safety reasons.Liability Waiver
By registering for this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following liability waiver:
"I, the undersigned, hereby release the Host, its affiliates, employees, contractors, and volunteers from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during my participation in the event. I understand that my participation is voluntary, and I assume all risks associated with the activities. In the event of an injury, I authorize the Host to seek medical attention on my behalf if necessary."Minors Participation
Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian to attend. The parent/guardian assumes all responsibility for the minor's safety, well-being, and conduct while attending the event."I, the parent/guardian of the minor participant, consent to their participation in this event and agree to the terms outlined above."
Code of Conduct
Participants must respect the event space, staff, and other attendees. Any disruptive, harmful, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without refund.Changes or Cancellations
The Host reserves the right to change or cancel the event if necessary. In the event of a cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible. Refunds will be issued if the event is not rescheduled. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made by participants.
Force Majeure
The Host shall not be held responsible for any delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government orders.Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the Province of Ontario.
Agreement
By registering for any event hosted by the Host, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including the Liability Waiver. If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian and consent to their participation.
