In the celebration of love, let’s come together to learn about how to start, manage, and market your small business. This event is hosted by multimedia creative and small business owner, Sunshine Arcilla.
Sunshine is the Founder of Connect North York, and the Project Director of OTR Media Productions.
Connect North York is a youth-led organization that fosters resource sharing in the North York community. OTR provides personalized services for small business owners, and creators.
Sunshine Arcilla has catered this event to the young women in the North York area. Throughout her years of working in the creative and music industry, she’s found that many opportunities and events connecting others and sharing resources are mostly based in the Downtown region. Often, these locations are inaccessible, travel heavy, or serve a different demographic. Hosting this event in North York, she hopes to bring the North York girls together, connecting our community in the Northern region.

Since the global pandemic, a significant number of individuals have ventured into entrepreneurship, fueled by a notable 46% increase, as reported by the Interac Corp. study in September 2023, seeking additional income. This specific event caters to women ranging from beauty technicians and media producers to studio owners and real estate agents, and beyond, dedicating Galentine's to the ladies in the biz. ♡ ♥ ♡
How
This event aims to foster a stronger sense of community by providing resources from women who have initiated or are continuing to grow their businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive live feedback and even leave with an optional professional headshot for their businesses.

Sunshine Arcilla is a multimedia creative and entreprenuer based in Toronto. Being in the industry for 8 years, she has founded various ventures, working alongside her hometown’s top tier talents, and with locals in developing their first businesses.
