Bedroom ‘14-’18
In the corner of my bedroom throughout 2014-2018, I put up various magazine cut-outs of basketball players in the NBA.
With my two friends, JR & Daniel, we had a passion for sneakers and basketball. We would do drills and go to drop-in events to practice all season.
As I post this in 2021, I am reminded of how much basketball impacted me throughout my teen years and high school experience.
From time to time, my friends remind me of how much basketball was a major part of my identity.
Sharing this series publically, makes me want to get back in touch with one of my old flames, basketball.
As a young photographer, using a point-and-shoot, Canon Powershot 12, I experimented with what I can do with the camera, as well as the effects that this small camera had to offer.
The second image uses a color detecting effect, making all the colors in the image blue.
In the second set of images, including Michael Jordan dunking, I physically moved at the same time as the shutter speed to create a focus on the ball.
In the second last set of images, I played around with the fisheye lens to focus on specific pictures.
The rest of the images are showing the overall collection.
Taken in 2016.
By 2018, I added more to the collection.
